About Us

Originally from a small Cotswold village, James has been involved in Horticulture from an early age. This passion led him to college in York, England where he received his National Diploma in Horticulture & Arboriculture. It is a requirement for this course to have a years work experience, thus James' arrival to Longwood Gardens. After receiving his Diploma, he was employed by a respected Tree Surgery Firm in England until he moved to Southeastern Pennsylvania. Now he is owner and operator of Cotswold Gardens, Inc. along with his wife Lori.

Lori is originally from Western Pennsylvania and received her degree in Horticulture from Pennsylvania College of Technology. She then went on to Longwood Gardens to complete internships in Horticulture and Arboriculture. Her career then led her to work for Bartlett Tree Experts. Over 3 years later she returned to Longwood Gardens to work full time. All the while, Lori designed, installed and maintained residential gardens in the Philadelphia and Wilmington areas.
